Global Leaders at Clean Economy Network

Exclusively at iHeart! Enlarge by clicking
This summer was ripe as Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived in NYC.
Clean Economy Network (C.E.N.)--having officially launched in March 2009--marked a pivotal push for clean teachnology across transnational borders with star-studded leaders, to name a few, including California's Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger. On a side note, green private equity is also expanding its horizons by private investors, such as Goldman Sachs, while famous Wikipedia founder, Jimmy Wales, promoted the evolutionary transcendence of collaborative learning and borderless understanding, via his brainchild, Wikimedia (which include wikis and wikipedia), for the new challenges revolving cleantech trends, not just for New Yorkers, but for all. The public is to be challenged to redeem public policy in the non-profit sphere.
One may wonder, how is Clean Economy Network related to iHeartTeaching, and in a more broader sense, education? We promote social responsibility and wish to use this platform where both teachers and educators of teaching come together, to spread awareness about the methods and processes (also through the difficult arrangement of private investments and public funding to make it happen) that will bring, for example, sustainable food sourcing and production, whereby educators not only make their impact known as consultants to farmers, but also improve the interrelated aspects of education in the recipient areas for everyone involved, from children, to the instructors on premises, as well as, to the builders and community leaders surrounding such regions of growth.
Hence, in addition to the greener choices that will minimize carbon footprint, it is iHeart's brazen wish to also see to it that there will be improvements in teaching and learning at the site of solar installations, wind turbines, and other forms of renewable energy or ways to harvest crops in an environmentally and socially conscience manner. As an example, within the US, as cleantech improves energy efficiency, students and teachers must understand the very importance of this new direction to mitigate waste and alleviate harm to our sacred ecosystem. The ecosystem is also the playground and biological chalkboard for educators to see knowledge, beyond nature's path. This is why, when non-profits and NGOs step into the developing world to kickstart advancements--and that of greening, too--education in those regions are paramount for producing its own leaders, because that way, each region that benefits in the earlier generations can also breed its own future leaders, who will be able to efffectively move on to foster their own communities, and build others nearby.
Also, there should be a movement towards distinguished economic and political leaders to hold such meaningful and groundbreaking collaborative gatherings, but focused solely on improving the education sector and raising academic performance levels of our children, that will shape edcuation's course in public policy. The problem at this core, is that the professors of higher calibre--who are in my opinion, have solutions and strategies as a decorated General in battle--are only limited to be voices within their own physical lecture halls and conferences which they readily attend, i.e., namely, as example, the Columbia Committee on Global Thought, whereby Joseph Stiglitz or Jeffrey Sachs make appearance inside campus, and often are taped and shown livestream. They write books. They write NY Times articles, and for other select or syndicated news, needless to say, but it ends there. Selfishly, iHeartTeaching will aim to proliferate beyond writing books and articles for a selective audience, so that I heart and I heart teaching phrases can be used to express propititous dedication, integrity, work ethic, and creativity and passion required to transform education.
iHeartTeaching commends those who are more active and taking on greater risks. Stated above, we saw that the "Gubernator," Arnold Schwarzenegger, flew all the way from California and into the CBS crevice in Gotham to stand before the C.E.N. members. What other educator can do that? Mind you, what we are dealing with, is a Governor from a completely different State. Reverting to the analogy with Stiglitz or Sachs, in fact, Sachs' former student, Nouriel Roubini, professor at Stern NYU, not only does he promulgate knowledge and warnings from his academic tower, but sedulously announces informed teachings through his acclaimed leadership skills, via media networks. He does this effectively from utilizing RGE Monitor, his own company, however, he is able to do this because he has access to quality information and a skilled team of economists. Now that we realize that the resources are important, iHeartTeaching will begin to find ways to maximize teaching resources, so that the educators who presently show the merit of advancing teaching with courage, can also be matched with the resources iHeartTeaching can later award them. Similarly, in the Cleantech world (but to spur the growth in jobs), the Governor of California, sought investment capital for various purposes, whether it be political or direct investments into startups. As for the iHeartTeaching platform, we are interested in seeking ways to build resources that can be committed to enhance the performance of teachers, not only in North America, but the iheartteaching values will certainly bring the long-awaited educational "stimulus" (and truly the funding to back it up) to the developing and the "lesser developed world."
